OIL POLITICS ?? ROLCAM 04/09/06
What is going to happen when we finally run out of oil?.

      Clarification/Follow-up by ETWolverine on 04/11/06 1:37 pm:
      One more point Rolcam.

      Oil will not run out.

Oil is, in large part, the product of animal and plant (mostly plankton) burried under tons of rock and subjected to enormous heat and pressure. Unless we postulate that plants and animals and will all stop dying at once, the process by which oil is created will continue for the foreseeable future. Oil is part of the cycle of life, and unless that life-cycle simply stops, oil will continue to be created.

That doesn't mean that I don't think that we should find alternative fuel sources. It just means that the doomsayers are a bit off in their predictions of how the world is on a course set for disaster.

      Elliot

Roland you miss the point we won't need to travel. Our communications will cut down the need to travel and besides travel is a very big waster of fuel and therefore oil
