GOOGLE & CHINA: HANK1 02/24/06

"For the first time in what some fear will signal a growing trend, Google Inc. has banned and removed a mainstream news website from all its worldwide search engines, seemingly due to the website's reports on China's geopolitical affairs and military technology."

    Source: Prison Planet.com (Propaganda Matrix)

Do you think this is a good move if it's true?

    HANK

      Hank,
Regarding your comment to my response. "Only Google knows what's going on......"
This was on my local news show more than a week ago, so I think plenty of people understand what's going on.

      Clarification/Follow-up by HANK1 on 02/26/06 10:21 pm:
Loral: Doesn't mean a thing. If you track Google stock, you'll be able to see if anything's going on. UP means YES; Down means MAYBE; STATUS QUO means 'just that.' You can always research Google, Loral. If you have the call letters, great. If not, just go to the Google site and see what you can find.

      Thank you Hank.
I have been involved in the stock market for about 35 years or more. I know how to read them.
In the newscast I mentioned, the CEO's of Google talked about their interest in keeping China happy - right or wrong. It's no secret.

re : Google stock . It has of late been hammered but I don't think China has anything to do with it . Google is another tech stock with no real substance behind it .It missed it's profits forecast and was hurt badly by the hypocracy of sucking up to the Chinese whil at the same time resisting subpoenas from Congress about child porn users. Some kid in a dorm will come up with the next generation search engine and Google will completely collapse.

In my response last week I demonstrated the futility of these filters they are placing on the search engine. The savy user in China already knows how to get around them ,and word travels fast on the net. The Chinese gvt will never be able to keep up with the users ability to circumvent the controls .
