It's interesting what you said about DeLay. I was president of the Beverly Hills Young Democrats because Henry Waxman, the outgoing president, asked me to run. Congressman Howard Berman was the statewide president of the Young Dems then. I knew him well.

Years later I visited Washington. Neither of those guys would see me.
