Ex,
First of all it's under consideration, it hasn't been announced as policy. Secondly, it wouldn't apply to field officers, but analysts and computer specialists and such, many of whom already work at the CIA or the State Dept. Thirdly, it's getting harder and harder to find people who haven't smoked pot wouldn't you say? I don't see hypocrisy here but leniency toward those who've moved beyond earlier indiscretions. I'm sure if you applied as a current drug user they'd put you in jail instead of on staff.

>>>So, when they busted me for pot,<<<
The FBI busted you for pot? THAT disturbs me (much more than any proposed recruitment policy changes at the FBI). Small-time pot use/possesion should be handled by the cops. The FBI have bigger fish to fry... or they should at any rate. Seems like a pretty wasteful use of my tax dollars.
