Torturing Captured Terrorists Choux 06/24/05
    Washington has for the first time acknowledged to the UN that prisoners have been tortured at US detention centers in Guantanamo Bay as well as Afghanistan and Iraq, a UN source said.

    The acknowledgement was made in a report submitted to the UN Comittee Against Torture said a member of the ten person panel, speaking on a condition of anonymity.

    An unrelated story, VP Dick Cheney was driven to a hospital after landing at the Vail, Colorado airport, and released later.

      The latest definition of "torture" is reading Harry Potter during an interrogation - of course that's insensitive to Harry Potter fans.

      LOL I can attest to the fact that overexposure to Harry Potter would be considered cruel and unusual in any court . I also note that yesterday buried on page 15 of my local paper was a report about a congressional delegation that went down to Gitmo and found that conditions and treatment of the detainees are not bad at all.
