Al Jazeera' Favorite Senator voiceguy2000 06/16/05
Every time you think you've seen everything, something comes along to prove you wrong.

What on earth could possess Dick Durbin to swan-dive so far off the deep end?

    See:

Power Line and the articles linked from here.

    Hugh Hewitt and linked items.

And as background for all of this, read the extended essay here. This puts the whole Gitmo discussion into vivid perspective.

Where are the voices of sanity in the Democratic party? Or, better still, the voices of outrage? Has Bush fever so overtaken the Democrats that they are willing to destroy the United States in order to "prove" themselves correct?

They are more fit to lead a doomsday cult devoted to drinking poison Kool-Aid than they are to serve as United States Senators. LOL

I have been a big fan of Bill Whittle's essays .

I don't think I'll join the fray on the Christianity board. Your quote from Ann Coulter was priceless.

      Hello again, voicedude:

There is too much bull on both sides. All it does is obfuscate the real issue.

Yes, we are involved in aggressive questioning tactics. The left yells gulag, and the right brings out a beautiful plate of fruit that we serve in Gitmo.

Neither of these positions answers the question of exactly what it is that we are doing to these people and should we continue to do it.

Jerkoff, Bill O'Riley says that we are saving 1,000's of American lives by torturing these people. Jerkoff Durbin says we run a gulag.

Yeah tom, I couldn't resist checking out the Club G'itmo stuff. I noticed he's added a five day G'itmo/Baghdad weather forecast. :)

      Clarification/Follow-up by voiceguy2000 on 06/17/05 1:51 pm:
The problem I have is that there is a gigantic difference "aggressive questioning tactics" and pulling people's fingernails out with pliers. That is the equation I reject. The very use of the word "torture," based on what actually happens, robs the word of any meaning.

VG:: Why do politicians in today's world do what they do? Both parties now *voice extremist positions* when most of the country are Moderates. Disgusting!

I was shocked when that Republican guy held up a plate of food that some terrorists was eating and then gave the menus for one day. Noodles Jefferson???

      Just my Opinion!
