Kerry to push for Bush impeachment Itsdb 06/03/05
    By Sher Zieve

"John Kerry announced Thursday that he intends to present Congress with The Downing Street Memo, reported by the London Times 1 May 2005. As reported by NewsMax, the memo purports to include minutes from a July 2002 meeting with Tony Blair, in which Blair ostensibly said that President Bush’s Administration “fixed” intelligence on Iraq in order to justify the Iraqi war. In an interview with the Standard Times, Kerry said: "It's amazing to me the way it escaped major media discussion. It's not being missed on the Internet, I can tell you that."

The Boston Globe published an article by Ralph Nader, Tuesday, in which Nader also called for President Bush’s impeachment. The story is being carried on Michael Moore’s website and the Democratic Underground. Failed presidential candidate Kerry advised that he will begin the presentation of his case for President Bush’s impeachment to Congress, on Monday."

So Kerry is going to push for impeachment based on a memo from a meeting which Bush did not attend, that offers one possibly incriminating statement by the British intelligence chief? "But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."

    This should be interesting...

    Steve

Did Kerry ever get around to filling out the Standard form 180 like he promised to ?

Last I heard, it seems he had filled it out but hadn't signed it yet.

      Hello:

Left coast talk radio was hammering away about this memo 4 or 5 days ago. But aside from them, the (so called) "liberal" press is asleep at the wheel. Isn't this their golden opportunity?

Do you think Kerry should give back some pay for missed days from the Senate ?

Federal law requires Members of Congress to forgo Congressional pay for days missed due to campaign appearances or other unexcused absences.

Senator John Kerry was absent for every vote during 76 of the 115 days when the Senate cast floor votes in 2003. The Senator's longest streak of missed votes in 2003 ran from July 11 to September 9, when he missed 62 in a row. For 2004, Senator Kerry was absent for every vote during the months of July, September, and October – and compiled a total of 76 consecutive votes missed from June 23 through October 11. Kerry's absences for 2004 total 70 days. Senator John Kerry's estimated salary overpayment: $90,932.68.

Maybe they're gun shy after Newsweek?

      tom,

While Kerry is launching his impeach Bush campaign, why doesn't someone start a "refund Kerry" campaign?

I sense that something is in the wind. The Dems have come alive and are rising up and firing on all cylinders.

Howard Dean is really being controversial and getting lots of press.

Now, Kerry is starting the impeachment process?

Hillary is situated nicely and quietly as a Democratic Moderate like her husband. She recently had a photo op with Newt!!??

Polls indicate that the Iraqi War is being supported by fewer and fewer people in America...down go the poll numbers. The

****President of a Democracy cannot successfully wage a war the people DO NOT WANT.****

Blood is in the water, the right wing Republicans are going down and vocal Dems are going to shove them off the cliff.

I guess you haven't read the UN's revelation on proscribed materials in Iraq yet.

Your death march is premature, I feel it more likely will be vocal dems tripping over their tongues off the edge of a cliff.
