Hello Choux:
I think CeeBee is absolutely correct. Why should they be able to get away with it? Just because years have gone by? Time makes it ok?
The only reason the law provides for limitations is because it becomes difficult to prosecute old cases, not to excuse them. If I had gotten away with my crimes, and admitted to them now, would I be forgiven because of time? I don't think so.
A crime is a crime, is a crime. It is a crime forever (if it ever was a crime in the first place).
Do you believe that debts are forgiven simply because of the passage of time? They are NOT, bankruptcy laws notwithstanding.

ex,
My example has nothing to do with whether or not one could be president. It just doesn't automatically make someone a hypocrite for being against something they once did. What is so 'unbelievably screwed up' about that?

HI ex:: *Everyone* from my generation and on down broke laws when they were young except the most socially isolated.
For example:: what was more fun that driving around when you were 16 with a guy *speeding dangerously* while the radio was blaring rock and roll..... "I can't get no satisfaaaaaaaction.......!!!"
Getting some *beer* and getting drunk.
Trying *pot*.
What *folly* to prosecute people for their experiences while growing up!!!! Or, *wanting to punish* people for their experimentation!!!!!! Oy Vey!!
