Think about what you are saying...
Yes it is true that insurance companies set the rates... based on government regulation... but where is the advantage to them of letting a doctor charge more for a procedure than it actually costs? How does that enhance their bottom line? Why would they want to pay $1,400 for a 30-second proceedure? Where is the profitability and greed in that? If anything, they are being overly generous, not overly greedy in this case.
Follow the money, excon. In this transaction, it is the DOCTOR not the insurance company, that is greedy.

I'm not "scapegoating" anyone. Their measures never passed, anyway, so there's nothing to "scapegoat."
In fact, I actually admired what they were trying to do, which was help our medical system, I just disagreed with who their targets for "reform" were.
