Voting vs Banking excon 01/10/05

Hello very well informed and especially smart people:

Here's one thing I don't understand. Oh, I don't understand plenty, but this one nears the top of my confusions:

If I'm able (along with a jillion other people) to deposit and withdraw money, either in person or over the internet, from my bank, and not lose a penny, and have an audit trail if I did, then I'm lost about why we can't count votes.

Somebody has a vested interest in keeping the present Swiss cheese system in play. I don't know who that would be, but somebody does. Do you know?

      Elliot,

Did some time with Wells Fargo's commercial banking section.

      'Nuff said.

I tried to call my ole buddy George and give him the thumbs up that I thought it was ok, to change over to computer systems,

But he must have been at a BBQ or something, maybe stepped to round up those doggies on the east lawn or something

But I will let "Rush" know in the morning, that should be enough to see it happens.

      DARN IT!!!!

I keep pushing the @&%)#^%)$ "answer" button instead of the "clarification" button. Sorry about that.

      DK,

      >>>Did some time with Wells Fargo's commercial banking section.

      Got it...

      >>>This last November, I was in a little cardboard-sided booth with a piece of paper and my trusty number 2 pencil.<<<

My inlaws from Houston voted early at Krogers (I think) on an ATM style machine. In and out in 5 minutes, no muss, no fuss.

You're further north than Houston, right?

Well, what do you expect from a bunch of Northerners?

LOL. Sorry, I just had to say it...

Actually, it was a California thing.

You see, one day I was shooting at some food, but did not strike any bubblin' crude. If I had've, that would mean that I had missed what I was shooting at.

Anyway, after discussing the matter with family and friends, I loaded up the truck and moved--not to Beverly (Hills, that is)--but actually to Santa Clara.
