Rudy Giuliani for President? Ccl471 12/16/04
I just read on a Yahoo! News article that Rudy Giuliani is seen by many to be a White House contender in 2008.

But won't Dick Cheney be the Republican candidate in 2008? Or is Giuliani going to run as a Democratic candidate?

    Many thanks,

    C.L.

      Tom-

      Excellent point!

      Elliot-

I didn't know that there was political slide-scale (pun intended) for adultery. I thought adultery was adultery. If you think that Rudy didn't lie than ask his wife when the affair first ocurred. I bet you dollar to dimes that Rudy lied through his teeth, until he got caught. No different then Bill, both liars and adulterers.

      Chou,

A Quinnipiac poll cited in this morning's NY Post indicated that if the 2008 election were held today, Giuliani would win 45-43 against Hillary, who was the Dem front-runner in the poll.

A whopping 68% of Republicans want to see him run in 2008, even after the Kerik scandal.

A presidential run for Giuliani in 2008 is NOT dead in the water.

      Bobby,

There has ALWAYS been a slide-scale for adultery. It was acceptable by JFK because he was descreet. It has been accepted by Giuliani because he didn't lie about it. And it was NOT acceptable by Clinton because he was neither discreet nor truthful.

And Rudy never lied to Donna Hanover before starting the affair... they were already sepparated when it started. In fact, the shocking thing about it was that he TOLD Hanover about it, and then threw her out of Gracy Mansion. His bluntness and up-frontness about it caught everyone off guard.

      Elliot-

I don't think the states that were lit up red last November are going to be impressed with the adultery excuses, unless of course the Bible Belt becomes the Hypocrite Highway.

Elliot:: He's dead firstly because the Republicans would *never* nominate him.
