Political dilema ETWolverine 10/25/04
    Guys,

I've got a real problem, and it's weighing heavily on me. I don't know what to do about it, and I'm looking for your advice.

You all know my political leanings. I'm a huge Bush partisan, and very anti-Kerry. I have agreed with Bush on most of the issues, with only a few notable exceptions.

But I am faced with a dilema of having to turn away from the Bush name on an issue that is important to me.

You see, I enjoy Heinz Baked Beans more than Bush's Baked Beans. I can't seem to get past this, and I'm afraid I have to cross party lines on this issue. I know... its terrible, but I can't help myself.

Is there any hope for me?

    Elliot

Not a thing, so long as you remember to open the windows after consumption!

      Elliot,

YOu're right they are good protein and low fat until the sugar, molasses and bacon is added. Enjoy!

The bacon part isn't a problem for me, remember.

I'll grant you the point on the sugar and molasses, though. But then again, I don't eat it all that often. And I watch my sugar intake because I'm high risk for diabetes. Both my father and his mother are type II insulin-taking diabetics, so I tend to watch that.

Elliot, Oh me. Sorry about the bacon thing. I don't like to eat any kind of meat, since I love animals - even though I'm convinced some of them are only here to be food.

My gram died with diabetes when I was a kid. It was horrible for her back then. Blind and unable to walk after awhile - and only in her late forties.

It's easier now with the insulin but still a miserable disease to have.

A little sugar goes a long ways. Now and then baked beans are great - especially with potato salad and cole slaw.

Take good care. Life is great!!!!
