Chou,
>>>We gotta rachet up our attacks on them and their interests YESTERDAY!<<<
I agree 100%.
Now... of the 2 candidates, which one do you believe to be more likely to make that happen?
And why are you supporting the OTHER one?

Elliot:: Sometimes I like to take unpopular stances or say unpopular things to stimulate discussion. :)
But, this is the my truth; I'm totally for ratcheting up the war on terror and killing as many terrorists as possible. There is no reason to pretend we are kinder gentler terror fighters.

The first debate is scheduled for Sept. 30 at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. The third (or second)is Oct. 13 at Arizona State University in Tempe, both would have moderators asking questions.(Jim Lehrer for the first and Bob Schieffer for the other)
The vice presidential debate is proposed for Oct. 5 at Case Western University in Cleveland.(Gwen Ifill moderator)
The debate in questin is the Oct. 8 Washington University in St. Louis Mo. debate.(Charles Gibson moderator).

The issue is about the 'town hall' format. Supposed 'undecided voters 'are to be selelected by Gallup. They can ask the candidates direct questions.Bush is concerned that partisan voters could be part of the undecided audience. He has not withdrawn yet . The issue is in negotiations. But it is not unusual for a sitting President to try to limit the # of debates . In 1996 Clinton pulled out just days before a scheduled debate at Washington University with Bob Dole. He said there were scheduling conflicts .

But, really it is the Republican operatives who are disrupting Kerry giving his stump speeches.
As I recall ,Bush's acceptance speech twice was disrupted by hecklers. btw the guy at the Kerry stump speech claims he was roughed up . Like I said; Not a game fo the faint of heart.
