Symbolism for Terrorists |
XCHOUX |
05/19/04 |
In the centuries past, the Middle East was in the crossroads of trade between the East and the West. With the advent of modern transportation such as trains and airplanes, the need to pass through the Middle East has diminished to almost nothing.
Isn't the compulsion to blow up Airplanes and Trains symbolic of the terrorists unhappiness at the reality of the fall of the Middle East as a prosperous cultural and economic region, and its failure to adapt to the real world?

Clarification/Follow-up by Doc05 on 05/21/04 4:05 am: Chou, I know that you like to hang out with men - but there is no reason to resort to name calling and derogatory remarks that you have made to me. You did enough of that on the Christianity Board, calling all the ladies, silly, empty headed, bubbleheads etc. I have never disrespected you - my parents have taught me to respect my elders and I do. I think that enough is enough - as for your capitalizing READ which implies that I do not - well, Chou, not only have/do I READ but I have also LIVED, through a lot that you would not even be able to begin to comprehend. Next time you resort to name calling, just because you disagree with me - think twice - because that only shows your inferiority shining through. Your "cordially" and five stars do not exempt your rude behavior.
