I forgot to add one thing . I believe Dean said that even if a candidate had a clear majority of delegates going into the convention, he wouldn't concede. He's out to "change the party".

There is also the fact that if you really look at them closely, there is very little diffrernce between Kerry and Dean. The NY Post had an article this morning in which they listed the "Kerry Liberal Top-10 List".
Here it is.
1) He's against the death penalty in almost all cases
2) Voted many times against tax cuts
3)Supported killing military programs, including the B-1 and B-2 bombers
4) Voted against banning 'partial birth' abortions and aginst parental notofocation when minors have abortions
5) Voted against Defense of Marriage Act, which permits states to refuse to recognize gay marriages in other states
6) Voted against the 1991 Gulf War
7) Voted against $87 billion to support U.S. troops and rebuild Iraq
8) Called for taxing guns and ammunition to pay for anti-crime programs
9) Pushed to cut CIA funding - then griped about poor intelligence after 9/11
10) Supported furloughs for first-degree murderers.
So what exactly is the difference between Kerry and Dean?
Nothing.

I just read that Dean is not going to put much of an effort into Tuesdays primary States .He instead intends to concentrate on high delegate States like Michigan .He fired his campaign manager(something else he has in common now with Kerry) ,and has hired Gore's former adivsor Roy Neel. This seems like a risky strategy to me . If he doesn't show respectable ,and possibly even win a State or 2 in the Super Tues. polling ,he may indeed be finished .

Wow... what a terrific article. I have always respected Jack Welch. This just ups my level of respect for him. Frankly, it is one of the better articles that I have read that analyzes the qualities make up a 'leader'. I'm not sure that I agree with his conclusions about Kerry's integrity... the guy flip-flops too much to be sure what level of integrity he has. But I agree with pretty much everything else he wrote there... especially his final parapragh: the one about their economic platform.
Great article. Thanks for passing it on.
