Are you Guys sick of this stuff yet? hOPE12 09/25/06
    Hello Everyone,
Thank you for reading this and I hope it settles matters on this board so that no one denomination needs to be attacked. Discussions on a certain denomination can be presented without downgrading or harassing anyone. State your facts as you understand but please stop all the attacks. Yes, Mormons believe differently then Christians, but some Christians believe differently then other Christians, why? I personally believe because we all came into existence by one Creator and yet instead of all believing in one God and one set of Commandments given to us, everyone wishes to put their own twist on things. That is why we have so much hatred, and problems in this world.

Anyone on this board should feel free to reply or comment on any post, however they should not feel free to do so in a dogmatic and hostile way. One can say what they feel they would like to say and do so in a respectful and mature manner. We do not need to go as low as Peddler has and actually harass and downgrade others, as he is always doing to the Mormons. That is not being a Christian but a inmature person with no love in their heart for others. I am really tired of those who claim they read the Bible and are Christians and yet behave in the way some on this board have. STOP IT PLEASE. It certainly does not speak highly of the Christian beliefs and it surely does not draw others to Christians.

Maybe what happens in this world is becuase of people like Peddler who like to attack others. Peddler grow up and become a man. Are you a Christian, then act like one. Leave the Mormons alone. I do not either support their beliefs but they have every right to believe whatever they choose to believe and without being harassed by you.

All you experts, are you guys going to continue to allow such trash to continue on this so called Christian forum? I hope not!

    Take care,
    Hope12

      Hope,

The problem here is that a few [namely two]so called "experts" are experts only in bashing others whose ideas and spiritual choices do not match their own, namely Toms and Puddles. As long as they reside here, and they do have that right along with the rest of us, bashing will not stop. So it has been for years and so it shall continue ....although Puddles aka Lazlow also included in his repertpore more than just bashing.

Along with docmagic I would aslo add dictatorial, which is the complete descriptive that suits both 'judges' of this forum.

      Clarification/Follow-up by whitefawn_ on 09/25/06 2:37 pm:
Lazlow is having fun with Tom, because Tom had him booted last year, and you know what is really funny, his dog's name is puddles?
He is very clever, and this goes good with his journalism and school projects, on how people react to sarcasm and put downs, even if I were to ask him to stop, he won't.
Perhap's he will be our next Anderson Cooper?
"Now here is Lazlow, live with his dog Puddles."

      Clarification/Follow-up by whitefawn_ on 09/25/06 2:47 pm:
I forgot to add, but Peddler, Lazlow, you promised to correct my documents this week. Please, for my sake, be kinder, be truthful and quit this nonsense, and I may have you un-blocked but not until you are nicer, and you know, your not a Christian. Why are you acting like a Holy Roller? And check your e-mail and give Puddles a hug for me.

Sab, Please write to me and I will give you a photo of Puddles to add on here!
I love your Photos! I kept the White fawn for my desktop, You're great.

      Whitefawn,

Thank you for that comment. Puts Peddler /Puddles exactly where I had pictured him to be ... an irritant with a hidden goal ..... now we know what is going on here .....we are, basicaly, his 'pet project' for his homework assignments. WE know he wont stop, he is getting a kick out of this, what is funny is that Toms and Puddles have joiced forces.... Puddles is jerking Toms around as much as he thinks he is jerking others too.

      LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the Christianity board. Accepting the teachings of pagans as Christian is anti-Christian.
Whitefawn is lying through her teeth about me and you accept her. Sab and Iz are as well. I tell the truth and you reject me.
Is that what you call Christian?
Was the truth meaningless to Jesus?

Should we accept Satan worshippers and atheist as our spiritual brothers?
The Bible say we are supposed to spread the message not adjust it to fit.

You care more about getting along than the eternal souls of your fellow man. Is that Christian love?

My Jesus was not politically correct.
Perhaps you are worshipping a different Jesus?

Mat 11:23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

Mat 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Mat 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Did you miss that verse? Perhaps you can show me the verse that says people who believe Jesus was the brother of Satan are correct?

“ This is the Christianity board. Accepting the teachings of pagans as Christian is anti-Christian. “

      My Reply:

I have never accepted false teaching and I do not accept false teaching. I however have NO right what so ever to degrade another or bash another because they believe what I do not believe. In no way is the antichristian. Instead it is Christian conduct that Jesus would approve of. The essence of all of Jehovah’s laws and regulations can be summed up in a single word: love. That has always been and will always be an essential part of pure worship. When asked which was the greatest commandment in the Law, Jesus answered: “Love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.” The second was: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” He then said: “On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:35-40) Jesus thus indicated that, not just the Law with the Ten Commandments, but the entire Hebrew Scriptures were based on love.

Is love of God and neighbor also central to the law in the hearts of Christians? Absolutely! The law of the Christ involves a heartfelt love of God and includes a new command—Christians are to have self-sacrificing love for one another. They are to love as Jesus did, and he willingly laid down his life in behalf of his friends. He taught his disciples to love God and to love one another, just as he loved them. The outstanding love they show toward one another is the main identifying quality by which true Christians can be recognized. (John 13:34, 35; 15:12, 13) Jesus even instructed them to love their enemies.—Matthew 5:44.

      You Said:
“Whitefawn is lying through her teeth about me and you accept her. Sab and Iz are as well. I tell the truth and you reject me.
Is that what you call Christian?
Was the truth meaningless to Jesus?”

My Reply to you is Whitefawn Sab, and Iz, when they speak with me, I have never caught them in a lie. We do not always agree on everything, but we speak to each other with respect and do not try to degrade each other. Peddler do you act with respect ? Have you ever degraded others on this board? Is your behavior Christian according to what Christ taught?

I feel that the truth is what Jesus taught. It is never meaningless. You say you are a Christian and yet your conduct is outrages. Is that what you call a Christian? Jesus either taught us to love other or he didn’t. We can disagree with what they believe or say but we as Christians should never be disrespectful of others. Notice Jesus counsel:

Peddler, all of us live in a world of idolaters, fornicators, murderers, thieves, greedy persons, a truly delinquent world for young and old. So no matter where anyone lives he is going to be surrounded by difficulties. There is a way though that a True Christian behave themselves in this kind of situation. We need to ask ourselves, ‘How will I conduct myself under these influences?
For the Christian there is only one way. Paul stated it plainly when he said: “Let all your affairs take place with love.” (1 Cor. 16:14) Regardless of the other individual’s way of life, the Christian should deal with the other person unselfishly and kindly. That takes a special kind of love in a Christians heart. Peddler, do you have this kind of Love in your heart? If you do, you are Christ’ follower. If you do not, you are not a follower of Christ!

You said: “Should we accept Satan worshippers and atheist as our spiritual brothers?

      My Reply:
No they are not united with you in your beliefs and therefore are not you spiritual brother, but they are part of the human race a was created by God. Thereby, deserving our respect and even though a Christian would not associate with a Satan worshiper they still would not bash or degrade them. Instead they would state God’s law and move on.

You said “The Bible say we are supposed to spread the message not adjust it to fit”

My reply: -This is correct we are to spread the Good news and not to change it. But we are suppose to spread the message in a peaceful manner. That is not changing it., Notice what Jesus instructed his disciple to do. . Jesus Christ instructed his disciples that when anyone failed to receive them or listen to their words, they were to shake or wipe the dust off their feet upon leaving that house or that city. This practice served “for a witness against them,” implying that Jesus’ followers were peacefully departing and leaving that house or that city to the consequences that would come from God.—Mt 10:11-15; Lu 9:5; 10:10-12; Ac 13:50, 51.

So if someone says something that you disapprove of or disagree with, don’t harass them or degrade them. Do what Jesus said. “Shake the dust off and move on.”

You Said: “ You care more about getting along than the eternal souls of your fellow man. Is that Christian love? “

My Reply is that if I am to follow Jesus footsteps then I must follow his instructions and keep peace. It take humility to be peaceful when someone says something you disagree with or find offensive. In the long run though, God’s approval is based on how I treat others.

You said: “My Jesus was not politically correct.
Perhaps you are worshipping a different Jesus?

My Reply to you is that there is only one Jesus and he never did any political in his life. If fact he never got involved in any politics or matters of this world. The determining factor in the politial neutrality of true Christians then and now is that they are also ‘no part of Satan’s world.’ Rather, their allegiance is to God’s kingdom as the only government that can truly solve human problems.
(John 17:16) 16 They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world. . .

(John 18:36) Jesus answered: “My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from this source.”

You said: “Mat 11:23 And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

      My reply:
Capernaum was included by Jesus with the nearby cities of Chorazin and Bethsaida as one of the places in which most of his powerful works had been performed. (Mt 11:20-24; Lu 10:13-15) Capernaum had been exalted heaven high in a spiritual way by the presence, preaching, and miracles of Jesus, but it would now be abased, as it were, to Hades, here representing the depth of its abasement. Ancient Sodom would have certainly produced ten righteous persons if it had been so highly favored as was Capernaum. Today Capernaum, like Sodom, no longer exists as a city, its ruins at Tell Hum (Kefar Nahum) stretching out for about 1.5 km (1 mi) along the seacoast.

I like this scripture and it is talking about destruction. Yet I do have a question, What does this have to do with loving ones neighbor and obeying Jesus commands? Yes, we will all be judged, but not by me or You peddler. We will be judged by God not any human. Unless Jesus told you differently we are not to judge any as to who will live and who will die. Notice the one who has the power to judge.

Since no human can accurately know the motives of others, however, we must beware of judging others. “Who are you to judge the house servant of another?” we are asked, with the obvious answer: “To his own master he stands or falls.” (Romans 14:4) Almighty God, the Master of all, and his appointed Judge, Christ Jesus, will judge us, not on the basis of our works alone but also on the basis of our motives, our opportunities, our love, and our devotion. Only Jehovah and Christ Jesus can accurately judge whether we have done what Christians are admonished to do, in the words of the apostle Paul: “Do your utmost to present yourself approved to God, a workman with nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of the truth aright.”—2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Peter 1:10; 3:14.
So we never want to judge others, leave it to the one appointed to do the judging.
      ______________________________________________________________________
      You quoted:
Mat 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Mat 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

      My reply is this:
Yes, the time proved to be “the end of these days” of the Jewish system of things, there in the Middle East. Little wonder, then, that John the Baptizer said to the Sadducees and Pharisees who came to him for baptism: “Offspring of vipers, who has intimated to you to flee from the coming wrath? So then produce fruit that befits repentance.” (Matt. 3:7, 8) Only in that way could they hope to escape from the fire of destructive trouble that would burn up the chafflike members of their nation, figuratively speaking, in 70 C.E. So, on the day of Pentecost of 33 C.E., the apostle Peter said to the repentant Jews who presented themselves for water baptism: “Get saved from this crooked generation.”—Acts 2:37-40.

Again did John the Baptizer say these words? Yes, but he is not the cause nor did he do the Judging. So again we do not have the right to judge as to what is right or wrong for others, only God does. If we spend our life correcting others by bashing them, we need to be careful that maybe similar words might be said to us. Why? Sometimes peddler we are so busy correcting others, we miss the sin in our own life.

      You said:
“2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Did you miss that verse? Perhaps you can show me the verse that says people who believe Jesus was the brother of Satan are correct?”

My reply to you is that No I did not miss this verse, and a good one it is. The basis of all our preaching and teaching is God’s inspired Word. We have the fullest confidence in the Bible. Paul told Timothy: “All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16) Those words are often correctly quoted to show that the Bible is God’s inspired Word. But what was Paul’s purpose in writing them?
Paul was speaking to an elder, one with the responsibility to ‘reprove, set things straight, discipline in righteousness,’ within the congregation. Hence, he was reminding Timothy to trust the wisdom of the inspired Word, in which Timothy had been instructed since infancy. Elders, like Timothy, must at times reprove wrongdoers. When doing so, they should always have confidence in the Bible. Moreover, since the Scriptures are inspired of God, all reproof based on them is really reproof from God. Any who reject Bible-based reproofs are rejecting, not some human ideas, but inspired counsel that comes from Jehovah himself.
How rich the book of Second Timothy is in godly wisdom! And how much more meaningful it is when we consider its counsel in context!

      Notice verse 17 of 2 Timothy: “
(2 Timothy 3:17) that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

Did you get that Peddler? “Every good work” Note that God’s Word enables us to be, not partially or incompletely, but “fully competent, completely equipped.” It enables one to be certain about who God is, what his purposes are, and what he requires of his servants.

This is to be expected from a book authored by God. And it is the only source we can search to get accurate knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:1-5; John 17:3) By doing so, we will “no longer be babes, tossed about as by waves and carried hither and thither by every wind of teaching by means of the trickery of men, by means of cunning in contriving error.” (Ephesians 4:13, 14) The psalmist expressed the proper outlook: “Your [God’s] word is a lamp to my foot, and a light to my roadway.”—Psalm 119:105.

So one who truly loves God and claim to follow Christ, would not allow themselves to be tossed all over by hate, nor would they need to stoop to bashing and degrading others. They would become familiar with God’s word the Bible and allow the scripture to give a reply for them. Then their reply comes from the supreme being and creator of the Universe, Almighty God. People will either accept it or reject it. Those who accept it, you have gained your brother. Those who reject it, you leave it in God’s hands to deal with them as He see fit and you move on. There is not need to bash or degrade others. God’s word sets all matters straight.

      Take care,
      Hope12
