well we really have no idea of timing in this, We don't know how old Cain and Abel were, certainly not children. We should not assume that because these along with Seth are the only children of Adam and Eve who get a mention that that is all there are. The population can grow quickly in a relatively short space of time, lets face it, the Israelites grew from Abraham and Sarah in perhaps a little over five hundred years to be 1-2 million. What we have here is the classic lack of information.
