I've asked several young check-out clerks at a local Super Market to manually count my change back to me after adding up my purchases. None could. Back to the computer they went.
Why can't some of our young people count change?

It started when hand held calculators were introduce to school classes and continued with the purchase of home and school PCs. There still are a few who can count change. But keep in mind that one of the world’s greatest mathematicians could not count change. That was Albert Einstein. Peace and kindness, Fred
