Your Birthday Tex78 12/02/05

    Dear Lord Jesus,
as the time approaches, once again, to celebrate your birthday. Some will gather once again in your house to worship.

They will feel much love. Some will gather at the homes of friends and family, around cozy fireplaces. Some will eat a little too much. They will buy each other many gifts, which are not needed. Some will sing praise songs to you and they will feel much love. All will be filled physically, spiritually, or both.

But sadly, many will not gather in your house, to honor and worship you, nor will they gather with family. For they have no family. They will not eat too much, and some will not eat at all. They will not buy things they do not need, or even those they do need.

Some will not feel warmth, for they will have no fire. They will not feel love, for they have no family or friends to love them. Dear Lord Jesus, how do I convince them that they have you, and that you love them so much?

Yes Lord, I know that you will be there waiting, and that you love them anyway. Amen.
    Thank you Father, for
    Your revelations

      Clarification/Follow-up by Liz22 on 12/03/05 9:44 am:
For the customs of the peoples are vanity; for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman with the axe.

Jer 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Customs A practice followed by people of a particular group or region. One such word could be Christmas, of every Christmas I have never heard the word of Christ in people's homes, only give me, give-give and give

Thank you Tex, that's beautiful, although I no longer go to Church, I still love the Lord Jesus, and his Kingdom, but when I Pray it is between me and the Lord Jesus, I talk to him in my bedroom, my livingroom- and mostly my gardens, every seed I plant, I offer it up to him, I thank him for every waking day, but if you want to convince someone cold, hungry, than give to that one, and as the Bible say's' Ask for nothing back.

Remember these Scriptures
Mt 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Mt 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

Mt 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Christmas though can sometimes be hard, every year it's my house, a lot of cooking and buying gifts, and it seem's like it's not just for children anymore but adults mostly, and the advertisement's, I just don't know anymore.

And although I know Christmas is not really the birthday of Christ, and sad to say' it is from the sun god, I am really wondering if one that loves and really knows Jesus would or should celebrate it?

But I also believe in one Scripture, that Jesus said' Happy are you poor, for you shall be rich, and whoe to you who are rich, for you have had your easy life, and you will be poor.

So we should always love, and give at all times and not just Christmas, but all year.

Blessings, Joy.
