Ephesus, possibly.
Tradition has it that Mary lived her remaining days in Ephesus, along with the Apostle John. John was the one standng at the foot of The Cross to whom Jesus said, "Behold, your mother." And to Mary: "Woman, behold thy son." John 19:25, NKJV.
Irenaeus (one of early Church fathers); who was a native of Asia Minor, who knew Polycarp, a disciple of John and also Bishop of Smyrna (who was burned alive for refusing to declare "Caesar is Lord"), claims that John lived at Ephesus until the time of Trajan, who became emperor in A.D. 98. In Ephesus there is the "House of St. Mary" where the mother of Jesus supposedly lived under John's care.
In studying "The Master's Men" many traditions or theories are offered regarding the last days of The Twelve.
