hi, i have been presented with an opportunity to get a very basic entry level softwrae testing position... i was just wondering if anyone had any pointers on how you market your covering letter for software testing positions at entry level. any pointers would be great along with examples of websites that demonstrate what entails a good software testing covering letter. thank you, rag.

I assume that you know if what you will be testing is a Windows application or something else. If it is Windows, then highlight the experience you have had with Windows products. If not, they probably have their own testing procedures. It is important to know if you are testing newly developed software from a end userstandpoint or some other critria. I would emphasis your interest in computer technology, applications you have used and you experience as a user. Also, outline you ability to take directions, work quickly and accurately, work as a team and your communications skills both written and oral. You can't be too specific unless you know more about the job and products you would be working with. John
