Accusations of Brutality Exaggerated XCHOUX 05/04/04
So, the Iraqi prisoners were stacked up naked like cordwood with hoods on their heads and photographed? Big deal. Our soldiers are being killed over their. What better way to get intelligence from the other prisoners than to show them a picture of a plie of anonymous naked guys especially with a woman making fun of them? They weren't hurt.

    It's a war!

Chou, I do understand why they did it pshychologically, as I already expressed it on another question - but when terrorists see this - they have something to fight back with - the Arabs are up in arms over it. So, basically we gave them ammunition to retaliate. War is war, I agree, but this is a different war - a war where we are dealing with sneaky people, not only the Iraqi's. So, what was done, was definitely in not in our favor and our leaders are really upset about it and they are right. An act like this opened up a hornets nest. Just read the Arabic newspapers, like Naharnet, and see what and how the Islamic world viewed this. Unfair? Maybe, but no matter who commits such an act, is not in the right.

Diana
