Hello experts: And, while we’re at it..... What does it say about this president, when he threatened to use his veto, for the FIRST time in his presidency, to defeat a law that says we would prohibit the “cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment” of prisoners in the custody of the US military? The Republican controlled senate passed the measure 90-9. Some of you will argue, as you have in the past, that our actions are not as horrifying as al_Qaida’s, so we should not be concerned. Since when did al Qaida become the standard by which we measure the morality of our country? excon PS. To Its: Yes, I copied some words from the NY Times.
