Bush's Poll Numbers Sliding Choux 03/25/05
President Bush's approval numbers are sliding downward over the last week when the Terri Schiavo political circus began *again* after its hiatus since 2003.

Is this the issue the Radical Republicans will kill their Party over? I think it is.

    Comments?

Choux,
I don't think this issue alone will be the turning of the tide, but it's probably time for all to take a closer look at the candidates before deciding our vote, and not just choosing Elephant or Donkey.

You know how people bounce back and forth with the political moves and I doubt this is any different. Once Terri Schiavo is gone, it will soon be forgotten and all those who raised cain will find another 'cause'.

I personally did not think the President should have come out on the issue. That's why we have Judges and courts. It shouldn't have become that political. Apparently the parents have connections and are very persistent and sympathetically viewed.

Quite frankly, situations like the Schiavos have existed for a long time but it has never became this public. I always figured most people knew this kind of thing went on in severe cases such as hers.

I think people are so sick of war talk and constant death that any 'cause' would have spread like wildfire just to change the focus.

Americans are not used to being disliked around the world - or at least not so vocally that we had to hear or believe it.

Our country is wounded and our citizens are frustrated with everything.

When that happens the politicians try to get attention. George W. will be done in his office but Jeb still has a future to look toward.

We'll see.
