The other day at the public library where I work, one of my volunteers, who is from Brownsville, TX suggested that adding Mexico as the 51st state (or make several states out of Mexico) would solve problems not only for Mexico but also for our country. What do you think?

I saw a 60 Minutes type show about the dangers in Mexico for Americans visiting certain areas, towns there. IN fact, the US government issued a *warning* to American citizens not to travel to those areas. Mostly near the US Mexico border. Anyway, Mexico--too many problems! Banditos! Crushing Poverty!! Overpopulation!! I vote for Canada being our 51st state!!! Educated, English speaking, and all that oil. Mary Sue
