Hello sperts:
Out next president will be either the man whose chief virtue is that he is not George Bush or the man whose chief virtue is that he is not John Kerry.
That’s just plain wrong. Are we missing anything? If we're not missing anything, and if what we see is indeed what we get, what does that tell us about the kind of people we have let ourselves become?

Hello excon,
To vote for someone based on the fact that he isn't someone else is absolutely the most idiotic idea I ever heard of. I can't imagine what those who are doing this are thinking.
I agree, it is just plain wrong!! ... and not very intelligent either.
I'm not sure who you are asking about when you say "we" (If we're not ....)., and "missing anything". What we see may be more or less than what we get, no one can tell the future because any number of things can happen to influence the future. If Bush or Kerry makes any kind of promises about the future, those things may be impossible to fulfill due to unforeseen circumstances. Whatever Bush's original plans and promises for our country were when he became President, had to be modified or changed or even forgotten because of the terror attacks on our soils.
Sometimes during elections we can get hints about what plans and intentions and directions the nominees intend to lead our country toward, but even with the best of plans things can change quickly.
