I use OE for most of my email and get dozens of messages every day. A lot of them have pictures either as attachments or in the body of the message. Lately when I forward these, even to myself, without doing any editing the text goes through but the pictures are missing! All the recipient sees is a white box with a small red box in it. What's happening to those pix? How do I fix this? If one of you experts would like to see what I'm talking about, send me your email address and I'll forward one to you. |

These pictures mostly link to images that are accessible on the web and it is possible for the web site that is serving up these images to stop or block them.
However, if I were a gambling man I would bet that it has something to do you with your antivirus program or OE settings where for safety sake it could not be attaching the images or serving you locally downloaded images .. this means that the links in the email are changed from their original location to be shown to you off your hard drive. Now when you forward these, since your harddrive is not accessible on the internet , your recipients are seeing a broken image (white box with a small red box in it)
