Kindergarten- don't know how they handle am and pm vs all day
Grades 1,2 and 3 have a state mandated 20 to 1 ratio. Other elementary grades no mandated ratio usually 35.
Districts do not like to hire more teachers until they see the kids. Late arrivals minus no shows. A school budget typically has 85% of budget in salaries of all staff. So over-hiring is a bad practice/ A school principal does not have the sole authority on staffing. Final word is up to the district. |
