Where is the email program? COUSINJOHN 11/18/03
I was the recipient of a gift of an Olympus D-380 digital camera, which I have been learning to use. With the camera came the Camedia Master 4.0 CD to use in working with photos. The help instructions inform me that there is an email program and I can access from the main menu by clicking onto the email button, or from the album window which I click the tool button (create) and select email, neither of which I can find. I am using a Windows 98 operating system which is acceptable for this program,

Does anyone know what I'm talking about and why I can't find an email program? Please help. JOHN

Hi,
After using google.com search site, I found the Camedia Master 4.0 site. From that site, which you can also find yourself, by typing it in at www.google.com, then click on Search; the first link is the site you want. From there, you can go to Email issues or questions.
The following is copied and pasted from that site:

To e-mail photos using Camedia Master 4.0/4.1 Pro, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) must be able to provide you with a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol server address (SMTP). An SMTP is the standard method to send email messages between servers. Browser-based e-mail accounts, such as America Online (AOL), do not use this type of setup. Please check with your ISP before purchasing the Camedia Master Pro upgrade/Camedia Master Pro 4.0/4.1 to find out if your system is compatible.

You can find more info at the site. Call your ISP (internet service provider) to see if it is compatable with the program.
If not, you can simply SAVE the photo/graphic to say, My Documents/My Pictures, etc. Then, open your email (such as Outlook Express), open a new message, and insert or attach the picture.
Hope this helps some, and I wish you the best.
