I have little crack's in the corners of my mouth jerogers 07/15/03
I have little crack's in the corner of my mouth that are really sore. I have been told that it is caused from ill fitting dentures. I have a 2 post implant on the bottom's and nothing on top and have been very satisfied with them. I have had them about 12 years.
I dont seem to get a good answer from Dr's. I surel'y am not the only one that has experienced this. Can anybody tell me what will keep this cleared up? I have a hard time getting it healed up. Thank's in advance
    Jackie

Recurrent cracks in the corners of the mouth (angular chelitis) can be caused by dentures with incorrect vertical dimention. You may need a new set of dentures or if your existing denture is still fitting good, may be you can consider replacing all denture teeth to provide proper vertical dimention.
