I'm curious to know how long someone can serve time for dealing drugs? And how much could someone serve time for doing them? If this is a first offense for either one..what would happen? Thanks.

Hello Jacqueline, maybe I can help: It's really impossible to tell you. Every state has its own sentencing guidlines, plus the federal government has yet another set. Additionally, it depends on the circumstances, how much drugs, what kind, does the person have a criminal record, etc. Although I can't help you with that problem, let me suggest this: Don't talk to the cops at all about this crime. Ask for a lawyer everytime you go to court. He'll tell you everything you wanted to know about your state and your charge. excon
