Architecture marx743 06/19/04
Hello, I have decided to pursue a job career in architecture. I have one little problem; selecting the school. What college/university supports the architecture department? I would also like a school that would let me travel and design buildings all around the world, not just in a limited area.
    Thanks.

You don't indicate how far along you are in your academic pursuits and that fact is important to decide where you want to go for architecture.

There are hundreds of good architecture schools.

If you are just starting out, you will need a lot of basic classes [math, pre-engineering, art, design, etc.].

If you have the first two years of college and most of the prerequisites for architecture then you can select the school by reading their class descriptions. YOu can decide based on how the curriculum fits your persona.

Most are in technically oriented universities such as MIT, Cal Tech, RPI, etc., although many large universities have architecural departments as well.

There is no restriction to going 'international' based on the school you attend. Where you work and the design work you do will be a function of the company you work for, not the school you attended.
Good luck. RAM
