Please Need some help on business statistics assignment Vanessa 11/14/04
    Hello. I'm a college student. I was extremely busy with my job and other school projects lately and i didn't have enough time to concentrate and study very well my business statistics book. Now I am cramming and have spent hours finding the answers to my assigments but i cannot figure them out. May I please request for your help to answer the statistics questions below? Please if you dont mind? I really really need answers.


    Here they are:

    1. What "scale of measurement" best describes this information:

    An individual respondent answers "yes" in a Roper Organization poll when asked if swing dancing is coming back into style.

    a. ratio scale b. interval sacle c.nominal scale d. ordinal scale


    2. Give an example of three events that would be mutually exclusive. Are these events also exhaustive? Then, give an example of three events that would be exhaustive. Are these events also mutually exclusive? Fully explain your response.


    3. The American Council of Life Insurance and the Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association have reported that insured households with heads 35 to 44 years old had an average of $95,900 of life insurance coverage. Assuming a normal distribution and a standard deviation of $25,000, what's the probability that a randomly selected household with a head in this age group had less than $70,000 in life insurance coverage?


    4. A simple random sample is to be drawn from a population of 1200. In order to have 90% confidence that the sampling error in estimating ð
    (unknown population proportion) is no more than 0.03, what sample size will be necessary?

    (Note: ð is not the right symbol in question number 4 but that's the symbol showing up replacing the right symbol I typed in.)



    (Also, Can you please show the work or formula too not just the answers.)
