Dear Chessmaster:
I once had a trial version of Chessmaster 8000. It had a tutorial that provided opening, middle and endgame training.
Now I'm considering buying Chessmaster 9000. But reading about it from various sources online, it looks like it only has endgame training, and not opening and middle game training. I might be wrong, so I'm wondering -- does it have opening and middle game training as well?
Btw, I don't want to get Chessmaster 10th Ed. because I heard that if you use the cd in a rewrite drive its anti-piracy feature blocks the use of a lot of the game's features.
Many thanks,
C.L.

I thnk you are confusing the endgame tutorial with the end game generator. This program has tutorials for everything. However, as far as the generator, it only has it for the endgame, of course, since trying to generate all possiblities in the middle game or opening would be ludicrous because of the billions of possiblities, unless you want to spend over an hour per turn on your home pc. So this is by far the best program out there, so you should not hesitate to get it.
I havent heard of the cd drive problem with the 10th, and i somehow doubt that is true since 99% of all drives out there at homes now are rewritable drives of some sort. |
