I would like to find a good free blog with ads that are not too annoying. I also would like people to be able to make comments without having to register at the blog (which some blogs require). What site would you suggest?

Try www.xanga.com. It's reliable, it offers both free and premium blogs (premium costs only $4 a month), and it's very easy to set up. I don't know whether people who comment have to register at the blog. It's possible that they do, but it does no harm. I've had a blog at Xanga for many years, and I have not heard or seen any complaints about the registration requirement, if they have one.
