And what is blogging?
Thank you. Abir |
Clarification/Follow-up by Jim.McGinness on 06/24/03 10:44 am: The word "blog" is short for "web log".
The idea of a web log is for someone to keep a sort of online diary that lists things that they found interesting on the Web. The earliest web logs were like this: just links to web sites with a few comments.
Now, the commentary has become at least as important as the links.
There are a few very famous blogs:
Instapundit
http://www.instapundit.com/
Andrew Sullivan
http://www.andrewsullivan.com/
James Lileks
http://www.lileks.com/
Little Green Footballs
http://www.littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/weblog.php
to name just a few. There are several different flavors of software available that make the creation and maintenance of a blog easy. One of the most poplular for beginners is "Blogger", whose web sites can tell you a lot more about what blogging is and will even let you start your own blog for free.

Clarification/Follow-up by abirl on 06/24/03 10:36 pm: Thank you very much. I think you should have posted this as an answer instead of a clarification/follow-up because this way I can't give it the 5-star rating it deserves.
Regards, Abir

Sorry, I was experimenting.
I'm new on Answerway, but long-experienced on other question-answering sites. I don't answer questions for the sake of points or stars. It looks like posted answers get stovepiped and take an extra click each to see. Clarification/Follow-up responses all get displayed together with the question, so are a lot easier to see.
