| Are medium's a good idea? |

Lost my soul mate / best friend tragically a year and a half ago. I am, "getting on with it", but greiving never ends, does it? I was wondering if it's a good idea to maybe go to a medium. I dunno if they're real.. though I would love to believe it, I also don't want my deepest emotions being toyed with. Any suggestions? |

Being a religious person, I personally don't believe in trying to contact spirits who have gone on, as the Bible warns against doing so, but my opinion aside...
The problem I have with this is from what I've been told and read, these people sit down with you.. They talk very sweetly, calmly, and "feel" your pain and emotions.. They talk with you about the loss that you have suffered.
Then throughout this they ask you alot of questions. Questions that when you answer, give them ideas and information about your life. They ask questions and you don't even realize (because of the emotional state that you are in at the time) that they have gotten alot of the answers from you already to the "answers" that they will get from the deceased that they will tell you they have contacted..
I would think that even if such a thing exists as true mediums, why would they have to ask you much of anything?? They should know right?? I would be very careful if I were you.. You are right.. You don't want your deepest emotions being toyed with. I can't say that all of these are scams, but I will guess that most are.
Grieving lessens in time, but you will never forget your loved ones. You hold precious memories right there in your mind as well as in pictures. God bless you and keep you. Laura |
