| Mary Kay Sales Technique |
Rhinestone |

Hi,
I was wondering how others feel about the way Mary Kay direct sells their products. I think the products are good, but the overgushing and fawning over customers appears to be so fake. Why do companies feel the need to sell in this fashion and why don't they sell products in a down-to-earth way? I hate to be sweet-talked and I wonder if others feel the same.
Thanks. |

HI Rhinestone
That is really is great question. You sound just like me. I also feel that the reps now are so very fake and just want to sell their products to make the extra money.
I guess it depends on the person they are selling to but if the company has a good product there is no need for the salesperson to use this tactic. At one time this may have worked and even now may work for women that don't have a way to get to the shopping centers. In the area my mother lives in there is a lot of ladies that don't drive and they are taken advantage of for this very reason. The salesperson that comes to the door can and will sell them anything and everything. For me it wouldn't work because I know what I want and just want to buy and be done with it.
