Hi bal, What r some good product/s that would help in protecting coarse hair while using heat appliances on length and ends? I end up using the straight iron every once in a while but regret the damage and end up cutting it off. Your suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Hello: There are some wonderful products for course hair. Protection from heat instruments is what is necessary when applying hot tools to the hair. There are products that help moisture the scalp and also the hair. Dudley products are wonderful. http://mp.hairboutique.com/product.asp?ProdID=100864
The name of the product is: Thermal Heat Protector.
One also has to be careful not to use too hot of an iron so check that the heat temperature is not high, and don't leave on the hair a great amount of time, also using less frequently through out the week, so one can use rollers to help maintain in between time. Use hair grease lightly and brush the hair allowing the hair product to evenly distribute and provide a more natural shine.
Hopefully, this will help. Please let me know if there is anything further that I may assist you with. Respectfully, bal317 |
