Pricing artwork jasmine222 06/04/06
which is the best method do you think to price artwork?
my paintings always sell in a second of being for sale at the gallery that represents me which makes me think i am obviousely asking too low of a price. but the reason for that is because i want to keep it accessible to people who want it, and not just those rich enough to..
how do you find the happy medium?

IF they are selling at the price they are asking, great! Why ruin what is working? In a few years, ask for more. They will raise the price as they see fit. However, you aren't paying their bills, they had to sign a lease, decorate, advertise, turn on the electric and phones, etc.
