Q1: I have an OSX (V. 10.2.8) iMac and just installed Pagemaker 7.0, which unfortunately only runs in Classic 9. When I go to print out I receive a message saying I haven' selected a printer in the chooser (I have an Epson C82 printer), which, the help feature tells me, is located in the Print Center. But where is the Print Center? Safari and Sherlock don' seem to be of any help. Larger issue: Since the problem doesn' arise in Word or Photoshop could this be a Classic 9 problem?
Q2: When in Pagemaker only some of my fonts show up in the Classic 9 environment. How do I get them to all show up (they all appear in Word and Photoshop)?
Q3: For some reason anything I print out as greyscale in Photoshop (any percentage less than 100) appears green. This just started happening. Any ideas?
Thank you kindly,
David |

A1. With Pagemaker running under the classic environment, look under the apple menu (make sure it is the multicoloured OS9 one, not the aqua OSX 1) and you will find the "Chooser" there. Listed will be all drivers that you have installed. If your epson is not there, you may need to install it for use with OS9 - check the epson documentation. Select the printer driver in the left-hand panel and you should be fine.
A2. Fonts will need to be installed under OS9 too - they are not shared between OSX and OS9.
A3. Look for an option in the print settings that says "Use black only" or similar. The green is probably the best approximation the printer driver can make using the colour cartridge, which it probably does by default |
