I am trying to startup up using my boot disk, so I can select disk utilities and then choose the zero data option, but the only thing i can find that resembles this is a grey disk that says Mac OS X Install Disk 1. This startups and brings me right to an install page and not the desktop which the boot disk apparently will do...also, the disk utility on the install page has no options for zeroing data. I have read numerous places that this option is avalible on Jaguar, but I have yet to be able to find it...any clues? Thanks. |

I think you need to reformat the hard drive. Call or go to best buy and ask them how to do it with your brand. |
