Christianity
I was raised as a Catholic and indoctrinated up until the age of 18 when I rejected the religion. After that time I studied Christian Science, the faith of my ex-husband; also, Mormonism(because it is an American religion), then, became a born-again Christian. Lastly, I joined a mainline Protestant Church.
In addition, I read in mythology and scholarly books, joined a Spiritual Group and was a "member" for two years.
I have read about most Christian and Eastern religions, sometimes in depth or just for basic information.
I have answered the question all must answer in order to die peacefully, "What is the meaning of Life?"
Today, I describe myself as a Mature Christian/Secular Humanist/Freethinker/Atheist where labels are required.
I believe we should do unto others as we would have others do unto us...
and, that an active connection and appreciation and understanding (as adults) for "Intagibles" and "Ethics" is of primary importance to the individual.
In addition, I believe in:
Optimism rather than pessimism;
Hope in place of despair;
Learning in the place of dogma;
Joy not sin and guilt;
Compassion in place of selfishness;
Laughter over stultifying seriousness;
Lifetime learning and education;
AND, Reason over blind faith or irrationality.

Emotional Wellbeing
Because I suffered from major mental illness throughout my life beginning in childhood as major depression, I worked at making as good a life as possible for myself including interesting relationships, activities, hobbies, fun jobs and a couple of "careers".
I studied psychology throughout my life having majored in it in college and continued my education periodically through reading and seeing a psychiatrist.

Human Rights
I have had an interest in human rights since I worked as a social worker in poverty stricken areas of Chicago. There I saw for the first time what life was really like for society's underclasses:: the poor, the culturally barren, the ill, the unwanted. I have supported equal rights for minorities and women and oppressed people.
