Question/Answer
katiy asked on 04/11/06 - Best Friends

I understand, some of the peoples aint the brightest crayon in the box, or the sharpest tool in the shed. They are ruthless in attacking each other.

Oldstillwild answered on 04/11/06:

Hi Katiy!

Your wandering questionious statement is making the music here....

I dont have an ipod yet,Hurricane, but I still can here the sound....!

Strong people's music will last longer and will overcome harsh winds and typhoons easily, and some ruthless attacks, like that of the double-bass would even sound heavenly....

No big deal,Katiy!
Thanks for your support!
Take care!

Question/Answer
pete4187 asked on 12/14/05 - drum cymbals: ride, crash, etc.

What are the differences between various types of drum cymbals? I'm specifically looking at ride and crash cymbals, but feel free to toss in comments about high hats if needed.

Oldstillwild answered on 12/25/05:

Well Pete,

you seem to have the same difficulty as I had , obviously....

However , its all about sound and therefore very much personal , individual , your taste and choice.

The smaller and lighter the higher , the bigger and heavier the lower.

Just make your choice in relation to your desired accompaniment and style of playing and in relationship to your kind of music.

Listen to bands, talk to drummers at the spot,so that you know what youre talking about,go to the shop and try out a lot of cymbals.

Choose a combination, which will ensure you an optimum of varieties of sounds.

Your ears are the most important attributes in this.

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!
