Question/Answer
bioharmony asked on 07/28/03 - Deut 18:10-12. Anyone who inquires of the dead - an abomination to God

A user has mentioned the program "Crossing Over" in support of whitefawn's near death experience.

Ive only ever watched the promos, but this program is all about people communicatiin with the dead or necromancy - soething that the LORD, Jehovah has said is an abomination - a form of witchcraft. Check out the text above.

Fulmens answered on 07/28/03:

hello bioharmony:

i have commented many times to different people about the laws of the OT and the NT. it seem to me that, since we are Christians (or trying to be!!), the laws of the OT do not apply to us. some examples i found at random in the OT books:

1) deut 22:20
"but if it turns out that the young woman was not a virgin, she will be taken out from her father's house and the men from her city shall stone her to death, for commiting such an atrocity in israel and dishonouring her father's house."

bioharmony, today we would have so many girls stoned to death...

2) deut 23:2
"the bastard son will not be admitted in the Lord's congregation, not even after the tenth generation."

unfortunately, today there are millions of children born out of wedlock, with their father's whereabouts unknown. these children cannot be allowed in our churches, according to the scriptures.

i bet you will not participate in the stoning of a girl, and will not deny a fatherless person entrance to your church or temple. but if you choose to say that John Edward's show is an abomination because of what you see it in Deutoronomy, then you must also choose to follow the punishements i have mentioned. you cannot pick and choose your laws and commandments!

we are christians, ours is the NT, not the OT.

Question/Answer
AlCarter asked on 07/20/03 - GAY MARRIAGE

What are some of the arguments against Gay marriage ?

Fulmens answered on 07/21/03:

Easy... Cant happen.

if you allow it to happen, you are saying it is not a sin anymore. you will go against the Word of God.

one example: do you commit adultery when you have a sexual thought about someone other than your spouse, or is adultery only to actually have sexual relations with someone other than you wife/husband?

all you have to do is think of another woman/man and you commit it. why is it not the same with homos?

Fulmens answered on 07/19/03:

if this church accepts the bishop's lifestyle and i was an anglican, i would not be a part of that church anymore.

homosexuality is a sin, no matter how you look at it. to make this guy a bishop is to deny homosexuality is a sin. if you deny it as a sin, you deny God's words. if you say homosexuality is fine and that it must be accepted, you are against the Word of God. this is not acceptable.
